Is Abe Vigoda Dead?
No, not yet.
This site is here to advise us if Abe Vigoda, most well known as 'Fish' from Barney Miller, is still alive or not (he still is). This particularly important info because Abe has twice been announced by the media as being dead (most notably People Magazine in '82).

Avoid MySpace
You can never be too careful. An excellent add-on that will prevent you from innocently clicking on a link that pulls you into MySpace, the ugliest, time-wastiest (and not in the good way), crappiest site in the world. It will still allow you to go if you really really want to, but will warn you beforehand, and ask your authorization before continuing. It's an internet prophylactic.
Am I on MySpace? Dear God, I hope not.

Today, Firefox is attempting a World-Record number of downloads in a single day.
Firefox rules. I have the Release Candidate version of Firefox 3 on all my computers. It really is that good. Unfortunately, in attempting to get the absolutely final version of Firefox 3, I discovered their site is not working right now. Keep trying.
On the one hand, this is likely because so many people are wanting to help with the goal of breaking the World's record for downloads in a day. On the other hand, you would think they would have been a little more prepared for this.
UPDATE:
The site is working! They are currently at 1,809,494 downloads. Impressive.
Innuendo in a wing joint ad?
I went to dinner with my wife yesterday. I commented that this guy is showing a little too much bulge for a cartoon character - but it was my wife who noticed the innuendo. I mean, after all, he's not showing off his bones by flexing his arms.
Thought this was funny - it has nothing to do with the web, except that it's on the web now!
Wii Fit Vid: Can This Be Real?
I just doubt that any girl, no matter how clearly talented, would ever do this in her underwear - let alone with her boyfriend sitting on the couch behind her - let alone a boyfriend so untrustworthy that he posts a video of it on the internet!!
I can't imagine she would be doing this so seriously, without looking back at her boyfriend mischievously.
Pork and Beans
Weezer's Pork and Beans video.
A web-themed vid, it contains references to numerous online video sensations, many of which have been mentioned in this segment.
The dramatic squirrel, the ultimate light-saber battle, the 'Numa Numa' guy, the crying Britney fan, the Diet Coke and Mentos guys, the 'history of dance' guy, the beauty contestant who knows a lot about maps, even the blend-tech blender makes an appearance. Best parts: Light-Saber drumsticks and Rivers Cuomo giving the Britney fan a hug. Worst part: Rivers Cuomo sporting a mustache.
