   This is two pieces of video sliced together. And the top part of that contraption is directly above the wheel. He pours the water into that top part (off cam) in one video that he cuts in when the water from the first video has flowed down the path to that same point. You can see where the video cuts together. Watch the water flow.

   It is almost certainly forced perspective with the basin into which he pours the water at the top and only the wheel at the bottom (possibly with something to catch or drain the water).
